Caregiver Support Group
The Caregiver Support Group, sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, is meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, at Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne, 2000 Siena Village (off Valley Road), in Wayne. The meeting provides support to people caring for a loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. The meetings are facilitated by Amanda Zunick, LSW, licensed social worker. In addition, information about area social services will be available, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions or vent their feelings and share knowledge with others facing similar issues. Light refreshments will be served. Call (973) 305-9155 to RSVP. The Caregiver Support Group is held every second Wednesday of the month.

Caregiver Support Group
The meeting is open to the public and no reservations are necessary. The meeting provides support to people caring for a loved one suffering from dementia and other medical problems relating to aging. The meetings are facilitated by Kerri Sherer, LSW. In addition, information about area social services will be available, and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions or vent their feelings and share knowledge with others facing similar issues. Caring and Compassion Conference
This educational/inspirational two-day conference is specifically designed to equip, inspire, and encourage laypeople involved in all forms of caring ministries in their local congregations. This is the first time that Christian Health Care Center has offered an in-depth program for laypeople. The conference will include 25 workshop offerings and three keynote addresses by the Rev. Dr. James Kok, Director of Care Ministry for the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA. It will provide valuable resources for individuals and pastors who wish to enhance the caring ministries of their churches.
