About Ramapo Ridge

Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital is a 58-bed psychiatric hospital licensed by the State of New Jersey and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital provides a full range of treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients over age 18 who require inpatient care. An individual treatment program is prepared for each patient by an interdisciplinary treatment team.

  • Treatment teams include a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurses and aides, social worker, activities therapists, psychologist, and dietitian.

  • Treatment plans are developed for each patient to help him/her achieve his/her treatment goals.

  • Daily therapeutic treatment includes medication, therapy, individual and group psychotherapy, psychoeducation, therapeutic activities, family support, and pastoral services.

Admissions

The Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital Admissions office is available 24 hours a day. The Admissions Coordinator can be reached at (201) 848-5500. The Nursing Supervisor is available after 4:30 p.m. We are licensed to accept both voluntary and involuntary patients. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
